We offer a fixed fee for Applications for a Premises License and Applications to Vary a Premises License. The prices below cover the Legal Fees for the our service which includes:
Taking your initial instructions, advising on how to promote the licensing objectives within your application, advising on the type of plans required to accompany the application, completing and submitting the application, disclosing the application to the responsible authorities, making arrangements for necessary advertising of the application.
The below prices do not include VAT or disbursements.

It is often difficult to estimate exactly what costs will be incurred as the amount and complexity of work required may be uncertain. VAT at the prevailing rate will be added together with disbursements related to your application. This is the best information about the likely overall costs of the matter that we can provide at the moment. As the matter progresses and the amount and complexity of the work becomes clearer, we will update the information on overall cost.
Disbursements are costs related to third party services which we pay on your behalf. We have not included the following disbursements in the above fee:

These fees vary depending on the individual premises and where it is located. The fees can on occasion be higher than those given above. We will give you an accurate figure for each item as soon as we are able to do so.

Applications for a Premises License
Stage 1
Taking Instructions
At this stage your solicitor will take your initial instructions and advise you on the best way to promote your licensing objectives within the application.
Stage 2
Completing and Submitting the Application
Your solicitor will complete the application on your behalf in accordance with your instructions. You will be advised of the required documents for your application as well as fees payable and we will complete the operating schedule on your behalf.
Stage 3
Advertising the Application
We will submit copies of the application to the responsible bodies e.g. the police or fire services. Additionally, we will draft and submit your advertisement of the application to the local newspaper.
You will be required to display the notice(s) advertising the premises licence application. We will advise you on where and how this should be done in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003.
Stage 4
Assigning a Personal License Holder
We will provide you with a consent form for signature by your Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). This person will be the personal license holder at the premises.
Stage 5
Responding to any Queries
If there are any queries relating to the application from the notified bodies or the local authority we will deal with them on your behalf. If there is a representation made against your license application we will attend any sub committee hearings on your behalf and represent you. This may carry an additional cost dependant on the time required.
Stage 6
Confirming the License Details
On the successful grant of your license we will check over the details and correct any errors with the local authority.
Stage 7
Applications to Vary a License
If at any point you wish to make an application to vary your premises license the above procedures are repeated in accordance with your new requirements.
